"It's the mystery of creativity that fascinates me."

Fascinated with fiber and textiles since childhood, I earned a bachelor’s degree in textile design from Queens College, NY.  Years later, just one visit to a Saori Weaving studio transformed me — resulting in the discovery of my creative freedom in weaving abstract art. A former kitchen and bath designer, I am in awe of the mystery of creativity.

My inner muse pops up during my free-form weaving, as I create structure, movement and energy using yarns made from sari silk fiber. You also will see my own hand-dyed and hand-spun yarns incorporated in my work. Design and texture will draw you into each work where both vibrant and subtle colors enhance the story and mood.

I am honored to be a featured artist in a series of personalized, curated artist studio tours here in Asheville NC, offered by Sherry Masters, (arttoursasheville.com).

Juried into the Southern Highland Craft Guild in 2016, and the American Craft Council (ACC) in 2018, I participate in their exhibitions, and was awarded the ACC “Randall Darwall Fiber Grant” for an emerging fiber artist.

My work can be seen in galleries and exhibitions across the U.S.; please see my Resume for more details. Also check the Happenings page for dates of locations of 2019 exhibitions.

Please visit my online Portfolio. The images featured there show some of my contemporary woven art. Pricing for my work begins in the mid $300s for small compositions and tops out at $7,500 for my signature work. All prices include meticulous, professional framing.
